2nd CATEGORY (competitors who have been playing an instrument for 4 years or less) – max. 15 minutes:

any virtuoso composition of competitor’s choice (a fast movement of concerto or sonata is allowed),
-
a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education.

3rd CATEGORY (competitors who have been playing an instrument for 6 years or less) – max. 20 minutes:
-
any composition of competitor’s choice – a slow tempo (a slow movement of sonata or concerto is allowed),
-
any etude (study) or capriccio,
c. any virtuoso composition of competitor’s choice (a fast movement of concerto or sonata is allowed),
d. a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education.
4th CATEGORY (competitors who have been playing an instrument for 8 years or less) – max. 35 minutes:

any piece of slow tempo (a slow movement of sonata or concerto is allowed),
-
any etude (study) or capriccio,
-
any virtuoso piece,
-
one fast concerto movement of competitor’s choice,
-
a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education.
5th CATEGORY (competitors who have been playing an instrument for 10 years or less) – max. 50 minutes in both Stages:
The First Stage
-
a piece of a slow tempo (a slow movement of sonata or concerto is allowed),
-
a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education,
-
any virtuoso piece of competitor’s choice,
The Second Stage
-
J. S. Bach: one movement for solo instrument,
-
one fast concerto movement of competitor’s choice,
-
one etude or capriccio.
6th CATEGORY (competitors who have been playing an instrument for 13 years or less) – max. 60 minutes in both Stages:
The First Stage
-
a piece of a slow tempo (a slow movement of sonata or concerto is allowed),
-
a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education,
-
any virtuoso piece of competitor’s choice.
The Second Stage
-
two movements from sonata, partita or suita for solo instrument (Bach, Reger,
Hindemith or else) or Ciaccona from Partita No2 (J. S. Bach),
-
two etudes or capricces,
-
one fast concerto movement of competitor’s choice.
7th CATEGORY (competitiors who have been playing an instrument for more than 13 years):
The First Stage

a piece of a slow tempo (a slow movement of sonata or concerto is allowed),
-
a piece of the origin country of competitor’s musical education,
-
any virtuoso piece of competitor’s choice,
-
two movements from sonata, partita or suita for solo instrument (Bach, Reger, Hindemith or else)
